Artist: James Lahey "Conceived for the Hotel Le Germain Toronto, this photographic series of 12 images is an extension of my practice; subject matter that focuses on the land, oceans, clouds, and (for lack of a better term), garden-nature and abstractions. My interest in images of the world is not the picturesque, but ways of knowing the world and phenomenal experience. The two are often connected in my work, and to what is referred to as "fleeting experience". I have a continuing interest in the handmade and the mechanical, in the traffic between painting and photography, in the tension between a flow of oppositions and mediating that tension to sustain a space between my experience and my reflective life. The erotic nature of these floral explorations is connected to those ambitions". James Lahey These series of 12 prints, sold individually, are printed on Epson’s Premium Luster photographic paper. Does not include the frame.
