This year Les Impatients is publishing the fourth edition of the Mille mots d’amour boxed set. Mille mots d’amour is a collection of letters penned by writers, artists, Les Impatients members, and the general public. It is brought to you by Monique Giroux, host of Radio-Canada’s Fréquence libre radio show. A spoken-word CD included in the boxed set allows listeners to discover or rediscover around 30 of the most powerful and emotional letters from the first three editions, now out of print. The letters are read by Marc Béland, Lorraine Pintal, and Normand Chouinard, among others. This year Marie-France Bazzo, Normand Brathwaite, James Hyndman, Antonine Maillet, Wajdi Mouawad, Fernand Ouellette, Luc Plamondon, and Chantal Renaud will take part in the project.
